Sunski

Responsible for Product strategy, Trend research, Product Design, CMF, Development for manufacturing, Quality control, prototyping and occasional woodworking.

All sunglasses are designed with a rigorous process which starts with silhouette development where the focus is on scale, proportions and how a shape compliments a face. The chosen silhouettes then gets further developed by 3d modelling several iterations to optimize fit and comfort of the style. Sunskis signature light and comfortable frames is a staple for the company, and it can take as many as 40 iterations of a single frame to achieve the desired design intent.

Sustainability is a key value at Sunski. Between 2016 and 2018 we developed our own proprietary 100% US sourced recycled resin, which all of our frames are manufactured from. In 2019 we launched our new packaging completely free of single use plastic. Sunski has been a member of 1% for the planet since the company was founded in 2012.
